In our schools, you’ll hear us talk about family and being stronger and better together. We are known for putting ‘we before me.’ Words matter and we use them with care.
Beech Grove City Schools is a school district unlike any other in Marion County. We are part of a small, tight-knit community who loves our children and holds high expectations for their future.
In March 2022, the Beech Grove High School Boys’ Basketball team won the 3A State Championship and the people of our city showed up for our athletes throughout their historic run. It was one of the greatest thrills of my life to stand on the court at the State Finals and witness a sea of orange and black fill the stands and share the win.
Our culture is built on creating opportunities for all, with a mix of practical experience, hands-on learning, career and technical education and character development. Our world-class FFA program is the flagship of a comprehensive agricultural science education. Our Performing Arts programs garner state titles, with awards of distinction for our Choir, Band and Theater students. Junior ROTC instills character development and leadership skills that translate into lifelong achievements.
The newest buzz in Beech Grove City Schools is our state-of-the-art Early Childhood Center at Hornet Park Elementary. We now serve 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds and their families with premier early learning and school readiness programming and an abundance of love.
Beech Grove is a special city with very special schools. Our city, our schools. Welcome home.
With Hornet Pride,
Dr. Laura Hammack
Superintendent, Beech Grove City Schools
